HINO MOTORS PHILIPPINES CORPORATION
THROUGH THE YEARS
Established in March 1975, HINO MOTORS PHILIPPINES CORPORATION (HMP), formerly Pilipinas Hino, Inc., is a joint-venture among Filipino investors, Hino Motors, Ltd. and Marubeni Corp. of Japan.
Originally majority-owned by the local partner, HMP has been relaunched under the new majority ownership of Hino Motors, Ltd.
Pilipinas Hino, Inc. (PHI), now Hino Motors Philippines Corporation (HMP), was established as a joint venture among Filipino investors, Hino Motors, Ltd. and Marubeni Corp. of Japan, engaged in the assembly and distribution of quality Hino trucks and buses.
Delivered 200 units of “Love Buses” to Metro Manila’s urban commuters.
Started bus body building at its Valenzuela Plant.
Exported the first passenger bus to Al Futtaim Motors, UAE.
Started Truck body building at Valenzuela Plant mainly producing bottler bodies.>
New “Super F” Series Launched
Transferred from Valenzuela Plant to the new Canlubang Plant.
Started proposing body rehabilitation / major repair for the customers to upgrade the looks of their old units.
Started “Repowering” - mounting of new Hino engine to a chassis in operation.
Received the certification on ISO 9001-2000 Quality Management System.
Launched the Hino Light Duty Trucks (300 Series) and Hino’s new bus body model aptly named “Grandeza” bus.
Delivered a total of 489 units to Coca Cola Phils.
Restarted dealership expansion plan.
Recorded our first 1,000th unit sold for a year
Marked our 40th year with “World of Hino” – truck and bus show. (at World Trade Center Manila).
Relaunch of the new Hino Motors Philippines Corporation after the signing of new Joint Venture Agreement among Hino Motors, Ltd., Marubeni Corp. and Professional Managers, Inc. on June 30, 2015.
Accumulated 20,000 Unit Sales Total Achievement
Expanded to 16 Dealerships
Received the certification on ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and ISO 14001:2015 Environment Management System.
